Suzanne Durnan
Suzanne has been life licensed as an advisor for 30 years, has her CHS Designation, and is licensed in British Columbia and Alberta. An active Board member of Advocis for the past number of years, she is the current Vice-President/Incoming President of the Vancouver Advocis Chapter. She promotes the benefits of being a part of professional membership and connecting with other advisors, business owners, and colleagues from across the country in sharing their stories and best practices.

Maria Cecilia “Cel” Sangalang
Prior to joining the financial and coaching world, Maria or Cel has worked in sales and marketing for multinational companies in various industries.
Maria or Cel has been in the financial services for 10 years with an insurance licence in life and accident & sickness. She is currently working towards her Professional Financial Advisor PFA designation. She was also the Learning and Development Director of E. Espiritu Financial, an AGA of IDC WIN, where she supported 53 advisors in upgrading their skills and providing continuing education. She is an active member of Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada.
Maria or Cel was also a guest speaker in one of the broadcasts of Advisorist, an elite training and education company supporting insurance, financial & tax advisors worldwide, where she was asked to share her story and strategies.
A Certified Coach specializing in Life, Wealth and Business, her advocacy is promoting financial education and self-empowerment.
When not working, you will find her bonding with Geri, her 12-year old daughter with Down Syndrome.
Lindsay Plumb
Lindsay Plumb is an Accredited Financial Counsellor (Canada) who co-owns a small advisory firm, MOOLA Financial Coaches & Advisors, in Victoria, BC with her husband Graham where she works with clients to take control of their finances and create systems for spending and saving. She is the creator of the Pretty Money Club, an online community of women learning about money, and Black Is The New Red, the largest Canadian personal finance group on Facebook . Lindsay is a "crazy busy mom", as she calls herself, with two young athletes at home who volunteers at their school as the PAC President and also with the local little league on the Board of Directors.
Simon Tanner
Simon began his career more than 20 years ago with Sun Life Financial. In 2007, with a desire to bring boutique financial advice to his clients, he founded Dynamic Planning Partners Inc. By focusing on the client, their financial goals and values Simon and his team aim to position themselves as their clients most trusted advisor. This client focused approach along with a process driven planning model has created long term client partnerships and relationships that extend beyond business. Simon is passionate about his field and educating clients to be partners in the planning process. He is a regular presenter and speaker for private companies and industry associations on various financial topics along with his regular appearances in publications such as the Globe and Mail and Globe Advisor. Away from the office you can find Simon in a local hockey rink watching one of his 3 children, on the golf course or exploring the backcountry with his backpack and tent!
John Ly
John began his career in the financial industry in 2015, quickly learning the role of risk mitigation as part of financial planning. He had a meteoric rise in production and was awarded rookie of the year in 2016. John now focuses his practice on successful business owners and professionals. He introduces corporate financial planning to help his clientele’s ever-changing life and business needs.
John is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Certified Executor Advisor (CEA), and an Elder Planning Counsellor (EPC) designation holder. He is working towards his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation currently.
John qualified as a Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) member in 2018, 2019, MDRT Court of the Table for 2020 and 2021. Finally, for 2022, he qualified for Top of the Table. An achievement recognized in 70 countries given to top producing advisors in the financial services industry.
Marco Faccone
With over 20 years of tax and estate planning experience, Marco brings a wealth of knowledge to Ly & Associates. Marco is a strategic partner, and friend of the firm, offering his highly sought-after skill-set to the team’s planning work. He assists Ly & Associates on advanced casework, focusing on areas that include taxation, estate, and succession planning. After spending 13 years for one of the best public practice firms in the country, his entrepreneurial spirit was driving him to go into business for himself, he hasn’t looked back since.
Marco’s vast education of designation includes being a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).
Laurent Munier
In 2011, Laurent founded his fifth company, Safe Pacific Financial, to help Canadians achieve their financial dreams. He’s been living the Canadian dream since immigrating here at 5 years old. His work life started with a paper route in the 3rd grade and he’s been working and building ever since.
The “Why” behind launching Safe Pacific is to work with great people, add value to both their business & personal life and demystify the convoluted world of finances so they can focus on being the best at what they do for their families, companies and community.
Laurent’s personal work philosophy is simple: Independent, relationship focused, no pressure, no rush. He loves working with like-minded and motivated people that strive for success every day.

Adam Bornn is a partner at Parallel Wealth Financial Group, a boutique financial planning firm in the greater Vancouver area. Parallel Wealth focuses on helping pre-retirees on a fee for service model.
Adam has garnered a small following on Youtube where he posts daily and educates Canadians – both locally and abroad – how to make better decisions on all things tax, retirement, estate and financial planning.
Lisa Reynolds
15 years ago, Lisa Reynolds found her passion in the Financial Services Industry after an abrupt end to her career as a professional volleyball player and a member of the Canadian National Team. Now a Professional Financial Advisor, Lisa works with Financial Horizons as a Sales Director in BC. Throughout her career she has honed her craft as a dedicated business partner to advisors helping them achieve their own version of success. Before moving to Squamish in 2012, she grew up in a small town, Foam Lake Saskatchewan.
